Caroline County Public Library
“Staff are always helpful and smiling. I travel around the shore for my children and visit many libraries. This is in my opinion THE BEST. Everyone is friendly and goes beyond their call of duty to help.” –
Angelina Sewell
“I am always so delighted with the prompt and courteous service you
extend to me. You are to be congratulated on your customer service
and your especially professional and pleasant manner.” -
Sandy S.
“Kathie and I want to thank you and all of the other reference staff at the Caroline County library for all of you gracious and most helpful assistance last week when we inquired about locating the ******** property.” -
John M. Johnston,
Professor and Director of Assessment
College of Education
University of Memphis
“I now have a collection of healthy meals for my
husband,” she says. “I’m happy to report
he has lost over 30 pounds and his blood
sugar is in a healthy range. Thank you Caroline County Public Library!” Becky Morean
“I will now and for as long as can be, recommend The Caroline County Public Library”, said Mr. Elder. (job search and relocation help)
“The library played a huge part in getting our business going” – Jodi Janvier, Restaurant owner
“The staff assisted me in earning my degree. I was computer challenged and they taught me computer skills, how to research and to use authoritative resources such as Ebsco and other online databases available through the library’s website. “The library itself is fun to visit, but it is the staff who were fundamental in assisting in getting my degree and starting my small business.” – Lisa Wallace

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways!
1) I was without a car for nearly 8 months. I live in Hurlock, but work overnights in Easton (10 p.m. – 8 a.m.) This library saved my life during the long, hot summer of 2010! Incredibly friendly, welcoming and extremely knowledgeable staff, plus GREAT air-conditioning! I spent an average of 4 hrs. a day here.
My favorite part of learning from library materials is that one interest explored always leads to another not even yet identified. This journey is a joy, and leaves me unable to imagine what living must be without it. Thanks.

The Talbot County Free Library is a fabulous resource on the Eastern Shore! As a satellite site for the Maryland Center for the Book they are at the forefront of Maryland Center for the Book programming including the statewide community reading program, One Maryland One Book. I recently went to a book discussion led by Bill Peak, a.k.a. “the Library guy”, about this year’s One Maryland One Book selection, Outcasts United by Warren St. John. Talbot Library brought together members of the community for an amazing and insightful discussion about books and community.

For the past several years my grandchildren have come to visit for the Thanksgiving weekend. Every year the library sponsors special programs for children that weekend. Whether it is a juggler or a magician, we make sure we have tickets for these fun events - we all look forward it. Thank you Talbot County Free Library!

A library is a welcoming place. When my husband and I moved to St. Michaels in 2003 the first stop we made was at the St. Michaels library. Getting my library card made me feel like a truly “bonafide “member of our new community. We were greeted by two women named Shauna and Shirley, and they made us feel like long lost members of their family. It was such a warm welcome to a small community where we knew not a soul. It was a preview of the kind of welcome we came to find here. Libraries are the clearest example of all that is best in a community and the librarians set the standard for making everyone feel welcome.
